Life is a journey..........

Life is a journey.................. and I started this blog to capture precious moments of this journey.

I quite like writing this blog and most of the people who have gone through it seem to enjoy it too. I do wish though that they would leave comments. It would help me improve and fine tune my writing skills.

Everyday I try to live a better life. Sometimes I do a good job of it and sometimes I mess it up. Sometimes the stress of work gets to me, sometimes I get frustrated when things don't go the way they are meant to go and I take it out on people around me. I am instantly aware of it and then feel terrible. I keep reminding myself that I should ensure it never happens again...........but am human.........and I fail all over again. But the good news is that I try.

Anyway, I am glad for the people who surround me. In their own way, they buoy me up, cheer me to no end, lavish words of praise and push me to be a better person. They are my teachers, my friends, my guardian angels and my motivators.

I have always believed in self motivation even when things around are going the other way. Never compare and never regret. Stay positive.

And most of all, live in the present. For it is truly a present given by God. When you look back, the worst thing that you are currently experiencing, will never seem as earth shattering as it appears now.

The HYD Air show

The HYD Airshow is listed as one of the most important events in Indian Aviation. We of course participated in a big way- displaying the A330, an EC 155 and the HS 125, in addition to having a chalet and a stall. Our Marketing team as usual ensured that the KF Branding was everywhere, in your face!

KF Branding in your face. :)

Our chalet

Even the buggy was not spared from the branding!

I was at the Airshow for just the first day. The organizers have a long way to go before it can become a quality event. There was a bit of aerobatic flying which was marred by the unfortunate event of a Surya Kiran crash. I witnessed it and it left a bitter taste in my mouth the entire day.

One of the Surya Kirans. It's sister did not survive.

Other than that it was good to catch up with people from various departments of the airline as well as business partners in aviation.

With Dr Mallya and Manoj

With Chenna

With the UB stalwarts - Madhushankar and Capt Rajan

I took full advantage of our famed hospitality – we had a spa area, so indulged in a shoulder massage! :)
It was amazing hot in HYD and had to hydrate myself continuously with liquid. Tried the HYD biryani at the food court but it was quite bland. Chenna did volunteer to drive me to Paradise and back but as it was too hot, I did not have the appetite for much food. Of course, I did have a Belgian Chocolate Gelato.

The perfect end to the day was when we returned in great comfort on the ACJ.

Peaceful at the end of a hectic and hot day!

Varkala - a surprise

North of Trivandrum, lies Varkala. It has a dramatic coastline with steep cliffs along the beach. The result - stunning views and a totally different experience.

To be honest, when my friend Smita suggested Varkala for the long weekend, I was not too keen. But went along as I believed that we should check out as many places in India as possible. Varkala turned out to be a surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, had a relaxing time and destressed with the Kerala massage, good food and refreshing air.

The view from our room.

The stunning views.

Another stunning view.

The early morning view along the beach.

The fishermen had just brought the catch in.

Disappointed with the litter all around.

The flowers against the background of the water was awesome.

The yummy ravioli with spinach.

The cheese crepe which was like a Chinese dosa.

The grilled fish. Very nice.

Momos.
